Abandonware games.

I don't know what it is with me and old 1990's ish retro-games, but to tell the truth, I have always been, in a way fascinated with games that have been made in that span of 4-5 years. It's just interesting to see how far we've gone from little itty-bitty blocky polygon models to actual scaled-down textured 3d models in just a matter of a few years :3

Tsk. Enough of ranting. Back to playing revolt.
Other recommendations include Assaultcube, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup and Rollcage = =

Chinese counterfeiters have a delicious sense of humor.

Well it's either that or they're just all a big bunch of dumbasses ^^
Found this in my room today while unpacking a bunch of old toys. :3
EDIT: You're entitled to punch your bud lovingly in the arm if he still doesn't get it after a minute or so.

BBC News and my Tumblr Scrapblog.

A German student "mooned" a group of Hell's Angels and hurled a puppy at them before escaping on a stolen bulldozer, police have said.
The man drove up to a Hell's Angels clubhouse near Munich, wearing only a pair of shorts and carrying a puppy.
He dropped his shorts and threw the dog, escaping on a bulldozer from a nearby building site.
He was arrested later at home by police. The 26-year-old is said to have stopped taking depression medication.
After making his getaway on the bulldozer, he had driven so slowly that a 5km tailback built up behind him on the motorway.
After driving about 1km, he had abandoned the bulldozer in the middle of the motorway, near Allershausen. He continued his journey by hitchhiking.
"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hell's Angels is currently unclear," a police spokesman said.
The puppy is now being cared for in an animal shelter.

Original article here.
Needless to say, I lol'ed. = =

Also, Happy July! I've officially finished moving house now, so still haven't got much to say.
In any case, I still haven't gotten any curtains installed in my room, so I'm still kinda tired-ish after the sun blared in at 5 and woke me up. :'(
Oh, and have I shown you my Tumblog yet? :3

So. I'm back.

Not really much to say, really. I wrapped my last few exams, went out for quite a bit, did quite a lot of packing for the big move over to To Kwa Wan and finally sorted out a load of stuff to do with next year's IB stuff :\
I'm getting a hella bored, really = =

5MinutesofFame: 5 minutes starting now...

So I was just clicking around on google and ran into a link to this interesting little web-app which promises '5 minutes of Twitter fame' upon being the fastest to type in your twitter username after 5 minutes. Will it really work out? Let's find out...
Screw this, I waited another 5 minutes out that some arse-licking-salesman dude had setup a macro to automate the entire name-filling process. Oh well, at least I got my chance at an Act of Random Kindness today with carlcon87...

I made an image macro!

This is fun! ^^

Everyone say hello to Crevlthe! @crevlthe

It looks like my gaming-obsessed-pal from real-life finally decided to create a blog - Crevlthe's (or Crevlther's, he still doesn't seem to be able to decide which) Stuff as it is called will hopefully turn out to be an even more epic blog than mine, so I'd highly recommend that you guys go there and comment on a few of his posts there should there suddenly be a time at which I'm too busy to post regularily ^^.

Hopefully he'll get his blogger-template (Still too blue, imo Crev :D) sorted out and will be able to start posting awe-inspiring schtufferz within a few weeks, if not sooner (Yer, he actually created his blogger template from raw nothing. Epic, no? :3).

Ehm, ehm, yeah. Alright then, I'll make another post if anything interesting comes out, but until next time, boisson out :3

EDIT:
Oh yeah, and do please check out the other cool people in my blogroll (: That'd be... that'd be really nice. = =

I love this song.

Howto: Get to a Higher Place Without Religion.

This is a spoof of a Wikihow article. For the real deal, please visit the actual article here.

1. Prepare for your spiritual journey. Visualise what you would like to improve about yourself and how you are going to get there. Remember, if you prepare yourself sufficiently then you'll save yourself a lot more effort in the long run.

2. Clear Your Mind. It is essential to rid yourself of any mental distraction or temptation while on this journey of self.

3. Work on an issue or problem. Any simple problem will do. It is important to have your mind working and fully active in your quest to attain a higher position.

4. Relax. Classical music and cheese and crackers are optional, but the key thing to do here is to keep yourself free of any stress. Deep breathing with the diaphragm has been known to do wonders with completing this step.

5. Remember to keep yourself healthy. Eat sufficient healthy foods and keep yourself hydrated during this process.

6. When you are sufficiently ready, take a left step upwards.

7. Take a right step upwards.

8. Repeat Steps 6-7 until you reach your desired destination.
NOTE: This may prove nigh impossible if you happen to be a tad short in the area of moving appendages. Don't worry, you'll be forgiven if you get someone to carry you instead.

Well done! You have just Gone to a Higher Place Without Religion!

Absurd Jokes...

OH I GET IT! BECAUSE HE WAS STARING AT HER AND... actually it's not really that funny. = =

I hate it when this happens. (;

Thursday, April 15, 2010

I giggled. :D @carlcon87

Carl over at Tumblr (Visit him!) found this cute web-app today, which scores your face against a standard and finally gives you an Attractiveness Rating out of ten. All went well until I uploaded a picture of Gollum (adjusted for facial angle) to compare my results to.

I don't know what it is about having your computer tell you that you look average, but this thing totally made my day. ^^

No, I'm not back by the way.

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Are you really LEAVING the CC? :'(

Yes I am, as a matter of fact :S Check if I'm back after June or so when the exams are over. The same goes for my Blogger account for real this time. (;

Free publicity.

YEAAAARRRRGGGGGGGHHH! -smugface-
Oh, that's my video up there by the way (;
I'm so un-unhappy I think I'll even stop procrastinating and get on with Chinese Translation now. Last day of Spring Break and I haven't really done anything school-related :S

Test-poll.

I am sick and tired of hearing nothing from you guys, and so as a result, I had to waste an incredibly uncomfortable 30 seconds of my life signing up for a PollDaddy Account in the false hope that getting one would get me more subscribers = =
Okay, I lied, I was just plain curious. Now if you're reading this, do me a favor and select an option from the Poll below, just so I get to see the PollDaddy thing in action. I'm excited! :3

April 8th Edit: Oh yay (: 50th post!

Did this in a bout of apathy today. boisson: making your life complicated one thing at a time.

Hey, I even threw in a half-heartedly written poem! D:

SPARTANS!

This is probably going to be one of the last few things I'm ever going to publish until June. Stoopid Exams D:
Oh well, it can't be helped.

Dropping by...

I've got the feedburner all figured out now - It's quite the amazing web-application :3
Just dropping by before I get back to preparing for my English Presentation on Friday.
Don't forget to write! You know how much I enjoy hearing from people - It's what the Formspring widget is for, after all.
Oh, and by the way, http://twitter.com/boissond

Testing the new Feedburner "post-to-twitter" feature (:

It works! (:

When will you actually stop playing that MineKrap game and start doing some actual work?

Good morning, stranger!
DO NOT INSULT TEH MINEKRAP. THE GREAT BOISSON SHALL DECIDE FOR HIMSELF WHETHER HE HAS HAD ENOUGH VIDEO GAMES THIS WEEK. /heresy

which school do you study in ?

I'm a Senior at King George V School. It's a pretty nice place most of the time, but the unnecessary shrubbery around the gates means every now and then you'll see people spraying pesticides everywhere to keep control of the mosquito population. Tchah!

Posted from Formspring.me - It supports blogger integration now! :3

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Okay, I was lying D:

Okay, I wasn't being serious about the leisure-hiatus. I just guess I'm not able to work until I actually get bored with not working. So er yeah. Here's a little adaptation of the note *Jean-Paul* and I were passing around last Chinese lesson.

That horrid, horrid, bobble-nosed cheating scum! D:

New Template! :D
It appears that the creator of my last template had taken much trouble in cutting corners with structuring the stupid thing, meaning that upon taking down his website, he took down with it all my background images and utterly screwed up the layout as well. I know I'm supposed to be on a leisure-hiatus, but I am a somewhat obsessive-compulsive with making things look right, so in the end I fiddled around with another template and ended up this...

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'm making my parents a near-midnight snack.

Hiatus

Hi guys, dropping by to say that I'm genuinely going on blogging hiatus from today until the end of my GCSE's. Yes, I'm sad too D:

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Tautologies are fun! :3

When you eat something, the something becomes eaten.
Cracking your knuckles can either lead to arthritis... or not lead to arthritis.
An anvil is definitely heavier than a paperclip, because a paperclip is not as heavy.

BeoPlayer is so replacing WMP.

Trolololol, guys!
I apologise for not posting (I don't really even have a defined posting schedule anyway, so I guess I shall just post whenever I have something to post about.) but there's just been so much happening right now, especially with GCSE deadlines piling up.

On the topic of current affairs, Fireworks seems to be not-working for me right now, so it looks like I shall have to move onto fixing up my English Timeline after making this quick little post - which might not seem to be the logical thing to do according to you guys, but hey, the Manual's written in Chinese and I don't know how to read Chinese. ><

Oh, and I installed BeoPlayer today. It was quite a pleasant change actually being able to enjoy my music rather than having to struggle against my hovering WMP window instead, so if anyone's interested, here's a screenshot of what it looks like.

Site Tracking and Makeovers

I have realised after putting much thought into this matter that 'The World As I See It" seemed too open to interpretation and too corny for a subtitle, so I did away with it and have fixed the banner.

Oh, and the SiteMeter on the bottom's just there so my anti-IE badge doesn't get lonely and so I'll be able to make this less of a one-sided blog, with me writing and you reading :D

I'm in a silly mood today...

I don't know what prompted me to do this = =

Hoo-hah for hidden text!
Ms. Miller is my English teacher.
Will be posting this plus the timeline up under the misc. section later ^^ Just for the sake of mental distraction.

A Special Announcement from boisson.

Okay, I know these two really cool guys in real life, and we're on reasonably decent terms, so when I found out they were planning on making it big doing rap, I thought I'd help give a little in terms of the publicity effort, however small.

I have attached below one of their more popular mixes below.
They call themselves Rise2Power, and I know they only have three songs as of now, but hey, they're pretty talented guys and I believe they'll continue to keep making awesome mixtapes (: That's probably the last post I'll make today, so that'll be all for now. /post.

Haagen-Daz and Suggestive Advertising

Saw this sign near ParkNShop the other day. Didn't notice at first, but once I did, I had to run straight back to the vegetable stall to borrow my mother's camera ^^ (Mothers can be oh so awesome sometimes! Most of the time.) I don't think the Vegetable-woman was much impressed.

Is... is that a TONGUE?

EDIT:
Oh, and happy March everyone (:

Fixups and Old News

I'd kinda forgotten about this, but seeing as the Fix This Pic competition on the CC forums ends in two days, I thought I'd post it up anyway.

Original Image - Left, Fix'd Entry - right.

Submission Text - Changelog:
New (and better) eyes,
Whitened Teeth,
Refined cheeks (That blush was graghr-horrible D:)
Gradient background
Improved annotation.
Coffee Smoke added.
New Nose.

I really do hope I win, though I probably didn't even have a prayer when I submitted it anyway. Oh well, it was a fun 20 minutes.

I have my O o face on.

Okay, the Racemap thread is still going strong, and seeing as I was bored out of my wits today, I decided just to random-select one of the maps posted up in my thread and see how it goes. Interestingly enough, godhand's map caught my attention.

I mean, coming from someone majoring in business, he should've covered everything all loopholes in his instructions already right? O o They were pretty transparent instructions, if you ask me (:

New Sponsors Widget on the Sidebar...

Summarising any doubts you may have:
Don't worry, I'm not intending on turning this blog into one giant moneymaking scheme in the future at all. This is just me being curious and experimenting with Mylikes.
Summary of the Summary:
This blog will still remain the way it was before - Just me, my little projects, and my meagre collection of viewers, and will continue to run regardless of anything that could happen.
And anyway, any surplus is going to be redistributed among Unicef and World Vision.

Writing this poemlet before I get back to work.

Writing this down before I forget. Will make an image out of this soon (:
The Chains of the Living
His overdrawn face,
a spectre in the radiant midnight scene.
the moonbeams rebound
off the glistening silence,
as his mournful
howl,
dented, cracked, and finally
rent the night into four.

Twitter and Business

This week is not going to be a very exciting one, I'm afraid, though with the real-life problems of school and work are going to keep me busier than... something that's very busy (I couldn't think of a good thing to use to give my analogy a nice finish, so please forgive me. Yes, I know, I know D: Shall I drop down onto my knees and beg for forgiveness now? No, I wasn't be sarcastic there D;)
/off-topic.

Anyhow, I did manage to finish off this Twitter background I started last night, so er... Yeah. That's all I have to say for today.

Formspring and more eggs.

I've searched around and decided that the formspring.me widget will do better than just a simple PHPP form (now embedded onto the contact page sidebar.)
And, to show you guys I'm not truly blog-dead yet, here's a little meaningless scribble I drew last night :D
Soon to be coloured and vectorised.

Another continuation off the egg-emoticon series has also been uploaded under the Misc. Section. Ain't I a productive chappie? (;

I need to clean up my workspace...

What's that shoe doing on top of my Mainland Rubix wannabe? O o

I've posted up links to completed requests from the Banners and Icon Creators club up in the Misc. Section if anyone's interested.

Back!

Hey guys,
Tommorow marks the end of the CNY celebrations, so here's just a quick note to let you know that no, I am not dead or mentally diseased and am still intending to update this blog/idea-box/thing. Of course, seeing as I have an audience of perhaps 1-2 people only, I don't think anybody would mind much. (:
ICT coursework's being a b@#%.

Justin Bieber and his many chins.

I responded to a forum request titled 'Make Justin Bieber Look Fat' today, and being not too fond of him myself, came up with the following image ^^

Monday, February 8, 2010

I DON'T GIVE A @#% ALREADY!

Since. When. Was it possible to get away with demonstrating how socially insecure you actually are on the inside simply because 27 of your friends are doing it too?

It's time for someone to step out and put an end to this for once and for all. I've decided to create a group to STRIKE BACK. Speak! Strike! Redress!

Whales and Eggs

Just gotten back from reformatting the layout of the Art page (Now the doodles page) and in the heat of the event, I've even managed to put up two new doodles about two totally unrelated things entirely. Check it out! (:

Minecraft Race-map Demo.

Was discussing things to do while the server was offline and came up with an idea.
The following test-video was then used as a demonstration that the race-map idea could, in-fact, work.

Yippee for Mock results!

I received my Year 11 mock test results back this week. Maybe next time I shall actually do some real revision...

Fresh-off-the-Boat's can be funny...

Full marks for observation to that poor Mainland dearie who took one look at my 16-floor apartment complex and asked her husband: "Is this a school building?" (这是学校吗?)

Pretentious little doodle I drew today...

I don't really know if it qualifies as a wallpaper, but it was 1024x768, so I'd guess you could call it as such. I don't know what I was trying to do, really, but hey, it's the first day back after the mock exams, and I'm sure I deserve a break, so hell to all you picky snivelly-nosed pigs out there who complain about how the figure in the middle will be obscured by all the 'kinky' desktop applications that you'd all be sure to boast about ^^

You know the drill - Full link's been posted up to the Wallpapers section under Misc.
Love me. Love my art :D

Random Conversation with Gio

Me: So, Gio, seeing as CNY's going to be on the 14th, are your parents being embarassing like mine and asking you to bring a little 'female friend' with you? ^^
Gio: Oh, I'm going for a medical checkup in the Phillipines over half-term.
Me: What, during CNY?
Gio: Yeah. Mothers.
Dillon hops in and tries to make awkward conversation. He fails.
Me: So... are the Doctors any that good in the Phillipines then? O o
Gio: No idea, I'm Pinoy and I haven't even been there much.
Me: You might as well go to the mainland then! :D
Gio: ... O_o
Me: -presses on- Actually nevermind... With how things are doing in China, they'd prolly mistake you as an abortion victim.
Justin/Me/Gio/Dillon: HAHAHAHAHA (:

Happy February 1st!

This marks the end of the month of my co/nr site creation! :D
Chinese New Year is going to be on the 14th of February, which incidentally is also Valentine's day on the Western Calendar (Gregoric Calendar, whatever.)
Expect some pretty neat things uploaded to the site soon, that is, if I have time... and if there's anyone out there who cares at all. -bigsniff-.

In other news, I appear to have broken my wireless mouse already. I got it in late December, and now the left mouse-button seems to like sticking when I least expect it. Very infuriating.

Wallpaper: Corners and Polygons

Hooray! It's my tenth post since the Template change! Today's been a great day, as I've been abnormally productive all day and managed to find myself going through around 7 eigths of the 'New to Google Sketchup' Tutorials, which was both satisfyingly tedious and blood-bitingly aggravating at times.

In other me-related news, I have also completed another wallpaper titled 'corners and polygons' (and pictured below) and it has been uploaded to the Wallpaper section under Miscellaneous. Yay!
I think I went quite overboard with the blur filter, though. (:

New Photo Album Published!

Link's been uploaded to the 'Art' section under Miscellaneous. All too exciting except that I have had no training whatsoever in terms of digital photography. Yawn. More details in my last post.

Digital Cameras and Living Rubble

I went out to shop for a new watch today and managed to walk past the scene of one of the most devastating building-collapses in several decades without even knowing. (For your information, my previous watch only costed me around $30 Hong Kong, but broke in a month, so what you pay for is what you get, I suppose - but that's not relevant, read on.) It was kinda sad, really - All my dad and I ever saw was a whole troupe of police cars, building trucks, ambulances and firetrucks parked onto the road, and everybody else staring off into the middle distance. I think it might've been a trick of the light, but I swear I saw a man with dried blood caked all over his face as he walked past us talking on his phone.

On a slightly less morbid note, I did manage to borrow my dad's camera on the long walk home from TST to Hung Hom after dinner and managed to take a few improvised shots of the urban nightscape, which should finish uploading in a bit. I'm rather happy with how it turned out actually - seeing as I have no photo-taking experience whatsoever- and to tell the truth, I needed something to take my mind off the Hung Hom Incident and the utter screw-up that was GCSE Mock Group Performance today...

You can learn anything online.

I'm officially starting my Google Sketchup lessons as of today, and I have to say, it's a pretty impressive piece of software for something that's free- (All the more fitting that I'm using Google's blogging service to type this.) Which was quite nice following the utter confusion that came with the release of Google Wave.

I really don't know what reasons I have for learning this, really, but heck, I've gone on with the few startup tutorials Google has conveniently hosted on their Sketchup homepage and I made a chair today, so screw motiveless learning.

It was certainly better than that copy of CounterStrike:Source I torrented today. Just setting the damn thing up took me upwards of an hour, and I didn't even get any kicks shooting anyone too, unlike making that chair in sketchup today.

Oh, and I've decided to host my files at Imageshack now - Need to conserve my Dropbox space. And anyway, they've redesigned the webpage now, so it'll be less of a painful experience using their bulk uploader.

Triond Referrals Program Goes Online - Make money writing articles and have fun in the process.

It's not often I'll beg people for stuff, but I would really appreciate it if anybody interested in Triond would join via this referral link. I'm aiming to make way more than twenty cents a day.

I'm saving up for something nice :\

Fabulous App Notifications are Fabulous.

"Celebrate Australia Day And Burns Night In Pet Society! All kinds of Scottish and Australian fun in the shops! [Play Now!] 06:22" - Notification from Pet Society (I don't play it anymore, btw, so no pokes at my masculinity please.)

I missed the days when apps were less subtle. Where once you flicked on TVB you'd immediately be bombarded by fat businessmen screaming out reasons why their product will completely kick the butt of any single business competitor within twenty hundred miles of their region

Nowadays, it's all just a "Here are the advantages, here are advantages of my competitors' products, now pretty please buy ours or we might just smother a kitten"-sort-of type.

Of course, now and then we still get some exceptions, like this app notification I found today:

I'm surprised they managed to pull it off without even touching the formatting buttons.

"Fan Graffiti" What? "Fan Graffiti". No reasons why, just do it. Fan the god-forsaken app for goodness' sakes. Who cares what you think? FAN GRAFFITTI. FAN! GRAFFITI! @#%ING! DAMMIT!

Sigh (: I love the Interwebs.

Twitter and Music

You're going to hear a lot more about how I've been changing the website, I'm afraid (sadface).

But let's not talk about boring matters like that and cut straight to the point - Thanks to this awesome tutorial I've found online, I have managed, after a fairly sizable amount of difficulty, to not only find a way to embed a nice little flash player on the Music page, but also found one that actually fits the look and feel of the website! How exciting.

The music's not particularily good, compared to normal person's standards, but hell, I made it, and I'm handing it in for Music GCSE Mocks, and woe betide the one who shall stop me.

Oh, and I, er. Have a twitter now. I have to admit, I never would've gotten it on any other day, but a mixture of boredom and curiousity just got the better of me today.

Yippee. ><

I found a typo!

Finding a typo in an actual mass-mailed leaflet of a Hong Kong food chain is quite surprising...

I haz a grammar! ^^

It kinda makes sense in a way... in stereotypic Chinese terms. A 1295-dollar meal may leave twenty whole grown Chinese people full, but when it comes to Gwailos, one shall only be content once he has eaten a hole out of his partner's wallet.

Templates and Sketchup

Now that exams are over, I shall be getting to work on cleaning up this horrid blogger template and replacing all the pre-made images with my own. Depending if D201 ICT gets in the way, of course (:
In other news, I've just gotten Google Sketchup and am browsing through the tutorial videos ^^ Going to be fun.

Exams

Hi guys,
Would just like you to know that I have mocks until Friday the 29th, and I shall be very busy until then.
Oh what a shame.
